Mini Trail Guide #26: You can get salty on this one
A rare tiny hike with hills, but the views are worth it
There are hills and then there are hills. My friends know me for my “No hills!” mantra, even though I can do them. I think it goes back to my childhood asthma days where that exertion would set me off and still has some small physical impact on my lungs today.
And then there is the question of: Can I do hills? Yes. Do I want to do hills? No. It can make the hike much less enjoyable for me. However, a lot of times I can be swayed to climb with an “Is it worth it?” analysis which is not scientific at all! It’s totally emotional and depends on my mood — but some days it’s worth it.
(Remember this hill from Trail Guide #12? Worth it. The hills for today are NOT this steep.)
How do YOU feel about hills?
This week’s hike is downhill on the way to your destination and you have to climb two short sections of hill on the way back. I think this one is worth it. You’ll have to tell me what you think!
Also, sorry for the late delivery. Lots of life happening this week at our home and since I write these fresh each week . . .
