Here for You
I’m here because children need play no matter what is going on in the world.
Here because being outdoors has proven benefits for your mental health & wellness.
I continue share my resources to serve you when you when you need comfort or help figuring out what you need or where to go when you can’t even think straight because it’s at least a small positive contribution I can make to your day.
I had one mom message this week: “I think play is saving me.”
So I keep posting content promoting the benefits of being outside and the places you might go to find a few moments of peace with your family and play time for the kids.
If you don’t know where to go, maybe find a park near you on the OC Playground Map (works best on desktop)? Or try one of the places below.

We re-visited both these spots this past weekend.
It’s the first time I’ve written about the Chino Hills Discovery Center on the blog and they are offering a really fun family program called “Weekend Explorers” on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 8:15am-9am. Go see the park interpreter Shelly Imler and let her know you found out about her here!
Carbon Canyon Regional Park was gorgeous with FOUR playgrounds and just what we needed that morning with a quiet bench by the lakeside and views of the surrounding nature.
Tiny Hike Teaser: This week’s hike required a jacket on Monday morning when I took some of the photos! I had the place almost to myself. Just me and the birds!
What new paid subscribers are saying:
“Omgosh!! Wow!! Thank you so much for all the DETAILS!! I’m so happy I paid for the subscription (which I usually don’t bc you know . . . Google) you made my life so much easier with precise directions, places to eat, library close by!! I’m so excited to take my daughter to a new tiny hike each week!!” - Amanda (@arts.crafts.play)
