Mini Trail Guide #45: Tiny hike to remember the joys of wandering
Switching it up with a "Trail Landmarks Checklist Game"
By now, you’ve hopefully realized that tiny hikes are designed for the kids (not the adults). Both get benefits, but it’s the kids who get the most out of the bonding time, shorter distances which leave time for play, and oftentimes they are places that don’t require reaching a destination.
This week’s tiny hike does not require you to take a particular route on the trails to enjoy the experience. So, instead of a step-by-step guide to where to go — we’re going to practice our adult wandering skills and let your child lead the way!
Pretend you are the kid and discovering all this for the first time. Let your little one take the lead and choose the twists and turns to take. Maybe you will find all the trail landmarks on the checklist game and maybe you won’t?
Sorry the delivery is a tad late today! I was actually working on the trail guide almost the whole day - made you a parking map and the special game for this one! Plus there is a lot of history and stories to tell on this one and I wanted you to get a little background for your visit!
Trail Guide #45 encourages wandering and taking your time with so much to see. It’s waiting right beyond the paywall below!
