It’s a joy to be able to create and deliver these to you each week. I’m humbled by your continued subscription!

This week I was waiting for the sun to come out to do my scouting. It didn’t come. So I ended up walking for an hour squeezed in the middle of a drop-off/pick-up schedule and I think I might try to do that a lot more. It was so pleasant and I can’t think of a better way to spend that time once a week. We think we don’t have time for a hike, but we can try to make time for a tiny hike!

Another thing that was good about doing this one on a May Gloom day was that it’s going to be pretty true to your experience. There is absolutely NO SHADE on this tiny hike so the “gloom” and “gray” is actually a plus for this one!

Important Note for Monthly Subscribers Who Pay 8 Months: If you started out as a monthly subscriber back when I first launched this paid trail guide portion of the newsletter in September/October 2023 — maybe not knowing if you would like this or maybe it was more affordable for you to pay monthly — then you are probably coming up on a $40 investment (8 months x $5) which is $1 more than the annual subscription fee of $39. I just wanted to let you know that it’s not my intention for you to pay more than an annual subscriber if you stick around for 12 months ($60 if you pay each month for a year). So once you hit $40, I will try to automatically comp you for the final 4 months since you will have basically paid the annual subscription fee. I’m going to work to be proactive about this and do it behind-the-scenes as it happens and let you know via a personal email that I’ve made the change. I feel like that extra $20 could help with gas money to get to the tiny hikes! Or cover a day use fee. Things are so expensive these days and I don’t want to have you miss out on guides or add to that pain in your wallet. Okay . . . back to the tiny hike!

Trail Guide #33 is right beyond the paywall below!
